A Class “A” member of the PGA of Canada, a graduate of Dalhousie University and Selkirk College, a TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) Certified Golf Fitness Instructor and Head Coach for Carleton University Men’s Golf Team. Before accepting the Head Professional position, he was the Associate Professional at The Royal Ottawa Golf Club along with Assistant placements at Ashburn Golf Club and the Toronto Board of Trade Country Club.

Andrew combines technical mechanics with the current teaching methodologies to ensure each student is given the right information to better their game. Certified as Titleist, Ping and Mizuno club fitter, Andrew is well-versed to assist any golfer achieve their goals.

Don Rioux, Director of Instruction

A Class “A” member of the PGA of Canada, a graduate of the Professional Golf Management program at Holland Collegeand a TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) Certified Golf Fitness Instructor. Before joining The Marshes, Sean taught at The Canadian Golf Academy in PEI and was the Assistant Coach of the Holland College Hurricanes golf team.

In addition to being an instructor who works with golfers of all abilities, Sean has club-fitting certifications from PING, Titleist and Mizuno. Sean was the 2012 Assistant Golf Professional of the Year for the Ottawa Valley, has been twice awarded the “Investors Group Volunteer in Sport Award” by the PGA of Canada and Golf Canada for his dedication to junior golfers, and continues to remain a steadfast player competing in 3 national championships and remaining near the top of the order of merit rankings.

 

 

 

Connie Baker, Teaching Professional

A former LPGA and European Touring Professional, and a Class “A” member of the LPGA Teaching Division, Connie joins The Marshes with extensive playing and teaching experience.

Connie competed professionally for over 10 years recording 4 victories and 6 runner-up finishes on the U.S mini-tours along with 4 top ten finishes on the European Tour.

She was then recruited and certified by David Leadbetter to teach at his Golf Academy in Naples, Florida where she spent 2 years. The last 19 years she served as the Director of Instruction at the Huntington Crescent Club in Long Island, NY. Returning to her home town of Ottawa, Connie is excited to bring her skills as a teacher and communicator to The Marshes Golf Club.
